Work with WorkCover Hub
For GPs
Two ways to join. As an in-house WorkCover Hub doctor, or as part of our referral network. Same clinical team behind every claim. Pick the path that fits how you want to practise.
Path 1 · Employed
Work as a WorkCover Hub doctor
In-house clinical role. We book the patients, manage the admin and insurer correspondence, and have the rest of the team (physios, psychologists, rehab providers, lawyers) on the same care plan. You see WorkCover and CTP patients and focus on the clinical work.

Join the WorkCover Hub network
Keep your own practice. Receive WorkCover and CTP referrals from us when we don’t have capacity, plus access to our clinical team for guidance on complex cases. We refer to GPs we trust to do this work well.

The clinical work, without the admin grind
NSW WorkCover and CTP claims are a specific clinical workflow. Done badly they’re a nightmare of insurer correspondence, contested Certificates of Capacity, and phone-tag with case managers. Done well — with the right team handling the admin — it’s some of the most rewarding GP work in Australia.
What we offer
- Non-VR doctors welcome — VR status and a Medicare provider number aren't required because we bill the insurer directly, not Medicare
- Registrars, IMGs working towards fellowship, and PGY-3+ doctors all eligible
- Salary or contract — your preference
- Telehealth and video consultations as well as in-person, across Sydney and NSW
- Same-week appointments booked by our team, no chasing your own patient load
- All insurer correspondence, treatment approvals and case-manager calls handled by our admin team
- In-house allied health (physios, psychologists, rehab providers) and compensation lawyers on the same care plan
- Real-time clinical guidance from senior WorkCover doctors on complex cases
- Documentation templates and escalation pathways already built
Who we’re looking for
Non-VR doctors are welcome.VR status, FRACGP fellowship, and a Medicare provider number aren’t required — WorkCover and CTP bill the insurer directly, not Medicare. Registrars, IMGs working towards fellowship, and PGY-3+ doctors are all eligible on the employed pathway alongside fellowed GPs.
Comfortable with telehealth and video consultations as well as in-person. Confident with Certificates of Capacity (or willing to learn — we’ll train you), psychological injury claims, and contested files. Full-time, part-time and sessional all on the table.

Your practice, our clinical backup
You run your own practice. You see your own patients. When we don’t have local capacity, we refer to you — and you have our clinical team behind every WorkCover or CTP file you accept. No fees. No exclusivity. No marketplace.
What you get
- WorkCover and CTP referrals routed by suburb and clinical interest
- Direct line to our senior doctors for complex-case advice
- Documentation templates that match SIRA's expectations
- Escalation pathways for insurer disputes — our compensation lawyers handle the legal end at no cost to your patient
- Allied health and rehabilitation provider referrals from inside our network when your patient needs them
- Regular training sessions on Certificates of Capacity, insurer documentation, contested-claim patterns
Who we’re looking for
NSW-registered AHPRA GPs with their own practice, experience managing WorkCover or CTP cases (or genuine interest in learning), and a clinical standard we’d be comfortable referring patients to. Areas of interest welcome — psych claims, return-to-work planning, manual-handling injuries, industry-specific exposure.
