Why Physiotherapy Matters

The right physio at the right time rebuilds strength, restores movement, and keeps pain from settling in long term. It also gets you back to work safely and lowers the chance of re-injury. Every session your physio documents becomes evidence the insurer uses to keep your claim moving.

What We Treat

Types of Injuries We Treat

Our physiotherapists treat a wide range of workplace injuries. Whether yours happened suddenly or developed over time, our physios have the experience to help you recover.

Back & Spine Injuries

Disc bulges, sciatica, lower back strains, and spinal pain from lifting, bending, or prolonged sitting.

Shoulder Injuries

Rotator cuff tears, frozen shoulder, impingement, and overuse injuries from repetitive overhead work.

Knee & Lower Limb Injuries

Ligament sprains, meniscus tears, patella problems, and injuries from slips, trips, and falls.

Repetitive Strain Injuries

Carpal tunnel syndrome, tennis elbow, tendinitis, and other conditions caused by repetitive movements.

Post-Surgical Rehabilitation

Recovery after surgery for workplace injuries, including joint reconstructions, spinal procedures, and fracture repairs. If your operation was with our orthopaedic surgeons, your physio works from the same file.

Neck & Upper Back Pain

Whiplash-type injuries, cervical strains, and postural pain from desk work or manual handling.

The Session

What a WorkCover Physio Session Involves

Each session is tailored to your specific injury and stage of recovery. Here's what you can typically expect.

Thorough Assessment

Your first session begins with a detailed assessment of your injury — range of motion, strength, pain levels, and how the injury is affecting your daily life and work. This gives our physio a clear baseline to work from.

Personalised Treatment Plan

Based on the assessment, our physio will create a treatment plan with clear goals — whether that's reducing pain, restoring movement, building strength, or all three. The plan is reviewed and updated as you progress.

Hands-On Therapy

Treatment may include manual therapy (joint mobilisation, soft tissue massage), dry needling, taping, heat or cold therapy, and other evidence-based techniques to relieve pain and promote healing.

Exercise Prescription

You'll receive a tailored exercise programme to do between sessions. These exercises are designed to rebuild strength, improve flexibility, and help you get back to full function, at work and at home.

Progress Reporting

Our physios provide detailed progress reports to your treating doctor and the insurer. This documentation is essential for keeping your claim on track and ensuring your treatment continues without interruption.
